Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. She first competed at the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she won. She took home three golds at her first competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976, she became the first person in the world to utilize a reversed double salto for a dismount off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment field by performing in the form of a figure skater. With her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career in her teens. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. They featured ice skating shows which included stage performances.
