Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation of Roberts living in Atlanta. At an early age the father of her mother became obsessed by the theatre. When he was a student at Emory University he appeared in various productions both in and outside of campus. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and, while stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of the Air force. In 1955, the couple got married and their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter along with his wife left their Air Force service in the year 1957 and enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The family moved in 1960 and relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local television for kids known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was founded in 1964 and ran for six years. In 1965, they welcomed two more children into their lives: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
